Simguild:
History In Miniature

Explore History's Battlefields

Military history provides some of mankind's most compelling stories.  Unfortunately, the study of military history has been a challenging, often confusing task.  The narratives and two dimensional maps of books are an exercise in meticulous, disciplined study that upon completion, the student knows they comprehend only part of the story.  The images from movies are quick to comprehend; however, the imagery is limited to the choices made by the director, a time limit imposed by production costs, and the weaponry is often inaccurate because it no longer exits.

SimGuild’s History In Miniature system merges the best features of books & movies, and then extends the experience with features from military simulation and games.  The user can see the mission and objective of the forces and understand the sequence that lead to the battle; virtually walk the terrain; see accurate representations of the formations and equipment employed; watch the battle unfold to completion; and understand the significant events and issues that lead to victory and defeat.

SimGuild’s History In Miniature titles will cover the span of modern battles back to the battles of antiquity, between land, sea, and air forces.  We will continue with the battles for the Race For Tunisia, but then you’ll be able to see the great ships of sail engaged at Trafalgar in 1805 during the Napoleonic War; the Battle of Little Round Top in 1863 during the U.S.A Civil War; battles in the A Shau Valley during the Vietnam Conflict.
